MIX for Kids Radiothon Raises 328487

On Sept. 25, 2013, All the Hits 107.3 and the Bert Show partnered together to raise more than $328,487 for Children’s National Health System during the sixth annual MIX for Kids Radiothon. From 6am till 7pm, the radio station took over the main atrium and broadcasted live from the children’s hospital in Washington, DC. The station hosted several patient families, community leaders and hospital employees on the radio, giving heartfelt testimonials on the great care Children’s National provides to children. During the morning hours, Holly Morris from Fox 5 Morning Show joined the event and broadcasted seven segments from the main atrium. Fox 5 Morning Show also broadcasted the call-in number and website where their viewers could donate to Children’s National. Click here to view the broadcast. The MIX for Kids Radiothon has raised more than $2.1 million in the past six years for the health system. The funds provide specialty services, groundbreaking research to find cures for childhood diseases and to provide the best care to every child treated at Children’s National, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. “Children's National is thankful for the support of All the Hits 107.3 and The Bert Show for an amazing radiothon event,” said Patty Jasper-Zellner, Director of Children’s Miracle Network and oversees the MIX for KIDS Radiothon. “This is a great example of community partners coming together to make a difference in the lives of children.” You can click here to view photos from the event.
