Childrens Ball Raises 2 Million

ball Lawyers, ambassadors, journalists, and business leaders came together for a common cause on May 11, helping the annual Children’s Ball raise a record-breaking $2 million for pediatric care and research. Chaired by Susanna and Jack Quinn, the event’s theme of “It’s a Small World After All” reflected the mission of Children’s National to advance the health of children from the Washington area, across the country, and around the world. Bret Baier, anchor of “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Fox News Channel emceed for the fifth year in a row, and Norah O’Donnell, co-anchor for CBS’s “This Morning,” helped Baier lead the successful live auction during the event. Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) received the inaugural Children’s Advocacy Award for his outstanding support and tireless work for children. GE Healthcare received the Children’s Innovation Award for its innovative technology that has reduced the need for sedation during imaging. View photos of the event.
