Resources for Families
Children’s National offers a wide range of resources to support patients and their families, including siblings, during their time with us. These include our child life specialists, our creative and therapeutic arts programs and our spiritual care team.
We understand that families may also have specific questions about their child’s condition and care. The physicians, nurses and other experts caring for your child can answer many of those questions, and may also direct you to other resources and support groups for additional information.
Additionally, families seeking school or education accommodations to better support a child with disabilities in the classroom, may find this information about 504 plans and Individual Education Plans useful.
We offer helpful online resources for families to help answer questions and ease their experience in the Pediatric Stroke Program.
