Children with Special Health Care Needs Resources and Referral Services

The Children with Special Health Care Needs Resource and Referral Services is a project funded by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office for Genetics and Children with Special Health Care Needs. The goal of the project is to help children with special healthcare needs (CSHCNS) families and providers to find resources in Maryland’s communities and Children's National Health System and to refer them to those services. 

The Children with Special Healthcare Needs Liaison can help families and providers find the following resources:

  • Respite care
  • Child care
  • Disease-specific information
  • Education resources
  • Financial assistance & funding
  • Medical assistance
  • Transportation
  • Family support groups
  • Equipment resources
  • Social services
