For children undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders, routine procedures may induce anxiety and add discomfort to their hospital stay. To alleviate your child’s fears, we’ve designed a Music Therapy program as a creative outlet to release stress and promote healing.
Our board-certified music therapist uses songwriting and instrumental play to help children cope during treatment. Partnering with psychologists, art therapists, nurses and child life specialists in the Oncology and Hematology divisions, our team brings powerful musical experiences to patients of all ages, from tiny babies to teens.

- Movements to rhythm
- Playing instruments
- Relaxation exercises
To increase socialization, we also offer a monthly group therapy session, which includes karaoke, holiday jam sessions and themed events in collaboration with other members of the Psychosocial Team. Additionally, we offer dance parties in the outpatient clinic twice a week.
