Resources for Families
When a child suffers an injury, is diagnosed with an illness, or is hospitalized, it’s our goal to provide the highest quality of care for each child and family. At Children’s National, we know it’s not just the children who need support and guidance. We’ve created an experience designed with kids and families in mind, a place focused on their unique physical and emotional needs. Every day, we go above and beyond to treat children and families with respect and compassion.
The Family Services Team
Our Family Services team is composed of social workers, child life specialists and chaplaincy services staff, who all work to meet the needs of the whole family during their experience with us. Whether you are visiting for an outpatient appointment or staying overnight at the hospital, the Family Services team is available to help you navigate the process, understand the decisions that need to be made, and offer a shoulder to lean on during difficult times.

The app is available for download by searching for “MyBearGuide” in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
