Biography

Elisha Peterson, M.D., completed her anesthesiology training at Washington University in St. Louis, her pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at St. Louis Children's and pain medicine fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, where she had extensive training and experience in acute and chronic pain management and regional anesthesia. During her two years on the faculty at Texas Children's Hospital, she was a member of the Inpatient Pain Service, Regional Service and Chronic Pain Services. She was featured in the July 2018 Houstonia magazine Kid's Health Annual, providing advice to parents on postoperative opioid use.

In developing our Chronic Pain Clinic and services to provide outstanding care to a growing patient population, Dr. Peterson is honing the pain educational program and coordinating care with the Inpatient Pain Service. In addition to her work in the Pain Clinic, Dr. Peterson spends time in the operating room and on our regional block team.
