Dr. Cliff Galanis is originally from Nassau, Bahamas. He graduated from Princeton University (with honors) and then taught high school chemistry for two years before attending medical school at Howard University College of Medicine.
He completed his residency training at Children’s National Medical Center, and then remained here to pursue a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine. He is Board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.After starting his career at a pediatric practice on Capitol Hill, where he worked for four years, Dr. Cliff started his own practice in 2000 in Mitchellville, MD. In 2014, his practice became a part of Children’s Pediatricians and Associates (CP&A). Dr. Cliff is the Lead Physician of the Bowie Practice, and serves on the Board of Directors of CP&A as well.
A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Dr. Cliff enjoys water sports, and travelling, and is an avid reader as well. A former high school chemistry teacher, he has been a mentor/tutor to a number of teenagers for many years, and continues to volunteer in that capacity.
