Biography

Burcin Uygungil, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy and Immunology. She sees patients with food allergy, asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), allergies, as well as those patients with recurrent infections and primary immunodeficiencies. She has extensive research and expertise in asthma and immunodeficiencies.

She is the lead investigator on the local USIDNET Registry at Children’s National which is a National Registry for patients with Primary Immunodeficiency. Dr. Uygungil also is interested in the benefits of Yoga and Meditation for patients with food allergy and asthma.
