Children’s National Hospital has received a tremendous amount of support and interest from the community regarding donations of critical supplies. Philanthropy is crucial to keep ahead of the crisis and will allow Children’s National to continue to be a lifeline for our caregivers and the families we serve.

How can I donate supplies to Children’s National?

Registry for Good
Those who wish to donate PPE and other critical supplies can do so without leaving their home by purchasing items from Children’s National’s Registry for Good on Walmart.com. Items will be shipped directly to Children’s National.
Is Children’s National accepting homemade masks?
Following the CDC’s recommendation that the public wear cloth face coverings in public settings, Children’s National Hospital is accepting cloth/homemade masks from the community. Please complete this form before mailing your donation, and a member of our team will contact you. The fabric used must be breathable, washable, latex-free and non-carcinogenic. We will accept both child and adult size masks; please label the sizes on the final product before shipping or delivering.
Is Children’s National accepting food donations?
Children’s National is accepting food donations for our staff. Food should be prepared in a commercial kitchen, delivered at proper temperatures, individually wrapped when possible and cannot be stored or prepped on site. If you meet this criteria, please complete this form and a member of our team will contact you.
We are not accepting food donations for our patients at this time.
Can I get a receipt for donating supplies to Children’s National?
We will send acknowledgement letters to recognize all donations of supplies. According to IRS regulations, Children’s National Hospital Foundation cannot attach a proper dollar value to non-cash gifts; however, you may wish to attach a value for your own record-keeping purposes. Federal tax laws impose certain reporting obligations for charitable contributions of property other than cash.
Can I share this with my network?
Yes, you can share links to our COVID-19 Emergency Action Fund and/or our supply donation information with your networks and on your social media channels. Here is some language to get you started:
“We’re delivering supplies to help @ChildrensNatl continue to be a lifeline for caregivers and families in our community!”
