  • L. Gilbert Vézina, M.D., is a professor of radiology and pediatrics at George Washington University and the director of the Neuroradiology Program at Children's National Hospital. He is a graduate of McGill Medical School and completed radiology and neuroradiology training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Vézina is a fellow of the American College of Radiology and a past president of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR). He has more than 200 journal and literary publications on pediatric neuroradiology. His clinical and research interests include fetal/neonatal imaging and imaging of patients with brain tumors, epilepsy, congenital anomalies, phacomatoses, traumatic brain injuries and head and neck disorders. He was awarded the Gold Medal by the ASPNR in 2020, the society's most distinguished honor, in recognition of his exceptional service and achievements.
