When you drop your pager (phone, etc) in the toilet...
Monday, March 4, 2013
We in health care are pager people. We're on call and reachable. So even with smart phones or not-so-smart phones, we still are very likely to have something clipped to our pockets or waistbands.
And so it goes... down the drain. It happens to the best of us from time to time. Perhaps even on the first day of your new job. Actually, given a new
job, a new
pager or phone, your new
work clothes, and using new
restrooms? It's probably more
likely to occur during your first week on the job, if not the very first day! (Okay, yes, it happened to me a while back). Do you reach right in? Not so sanitary. But otherwise it's gone, and off to clog up the plumbing system.
A lesson in life. Hold on to the important things, replace the things that are replaceable, and move on.
And always wash your hands. Sanitize!
