Flu screening. Flu season is over, but visitors to inpatient areas will continue to be screened for infectious disease at our Welcome Desk to protect our patients. Learn more about this screening.
Shuttle service. All shuttles (except Brookland) pick up and drop off passengers at the East Wing Emergency Department entrance. The Brookland Metro shuttle bus route picks up and drops off at the ramps and canopies at the end of the East Wing hallway near the Emergency Department.
Parking garage renovations. We're upgrading and modernizing our main campus parking garage. Please allow extra time when arriving for your appointment. Learn more about our garage improvements.

Parents, guardians, and family friends are encouraged to visit children who are staying in the hospital. Children’s National has guidelines for visitors that help us maintain a safe and calm environment for high-quality care.

Children’s National has two Emergency Departments to meet the needs of our patients. For your convenience, Children’s National offers real-time information on the wait times at our Emergency Departments.
