Safety Attendant Positions for Students

If you’re currently studying nursing, with at least one year of school and CPR certification, you can earn while you learn as a patient safety attendant.You’ll serve as a patient sitter in our hospital inpatient units to help care for children and keep them safe. No nursing experience is required, but we do prefer candidates with pediatric, childcare, or child development experience.

Summer Program for Nursing Students

Summer Program for Nursing Students

Our Summer Nurse Trainee Program, formerly called the Child Care Technician (CCT) position, is a 12- to 14-week paid summer externship for nursing students who:

- Are halfway through their nursing program

- Have completed a medical/surgical and/or pediatric clinical rotation

You’ll start with a four-day general orientation to our organization and nursing practice, as well as a clinical orientation to your assigned unit. Then, you’ll work closely with a nurse manager, preceptor, and supervisor to experience life as a pediatric nurse and engage directly with patients.

New Graduate Nursing Residency Program

New Graduate Nursing Residency Program

Our New Graduate Nursing Residency is a one-year program supporting new graduates’ transition from nursing student to professional nurse.

Along with lectures, clinical rotations, and self-directed research, this program includes a one-on-one preceptorship to give first-year nurses hands-on, clinical experience. At the end of the program, most of our units hire nursing residents for permanent jobs.

The New Graduate Nurse Residency Program is available for Acute Care and Critical Care areas and is offered several times throughout the year. Applications are accepted throughout the year and nurses are placed into the next upcoming cohort as applicable to their hired specialty.
