At Children’s National, we strive to make you and your child’s visit or extended stay both safe and comfortable. Whether you’re visiting our Main Hospital in Washington, DC, or one of our outpatient centers throughout the region, it can be stressful and you may have questions before your visit or even during your child’s appointment or extended stay.
Special Travel Advisory for Visitors: If you have visited West Africa within 21 days, please notify a Children’s National team member when you check in.

Parents, guardians, and family friends are encouraged to visit children who are staying in the hospital. Children’s National has guidelines for visitors that help us maintain a safe and calm environment for high-quality care.
Children's National Health System's Main Campus is easily accessible if you are driving or taking public transportation. Our Main Campus also has onsite parking for families.
Children’s National has two Emergency Departments to meet the needs of our patients. For your convenience, Children’s National offers real-time information on the wait times at our Emergency Departments.
