He also is Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and of Pediatrics at The George Washington University.

Douglas Myers, MBA, CPA, is EVP, Chief Financial Officer. He brings a wealth of experience to Children's National with more than 20 years as a CFO in hospitals and health systems, working with a mixture of for-profit and not-for-profit, adult, and pediatric organizations.

Elizabeth Flury, MA, EVP, is Chief Strategy Officer. She joined Children’s National in 2012 as the organization’s first Chief Strategy Officer. She leads the formulation and execution of new, innovative strategy at Children’s National designed to ensure the organization’s preparedness for healthcare reform.

Gerard Martin

Gerard Martin, MD, is the Senior Vice President of the Center for Heart, Lung, and Kidney Disease; and Medical Director for Global Services. He has been in practice at Children’s National Health System since 1986. 

Dr. Martin was promoted to Professor of Pediatrics with Tenure at George Washington University School of Medicine in 1995 and was the Chief of Cardiology from 1997 to 2009. He was named the C. Richard Beyda Professor of Cardiology in 2007.

Kathleen E. Chavanu Gorman, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is EVP, Chief Operating Officer of Patient Care Services. She rejoined Children’s National from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where she served as Senior VP of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, and Assistant Dean of Clinical Practice at the University School of Nursing.

Linda Talley, MS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, is Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. She joined Children’s National as a staff nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Nursing for Critical Care, Heart Institute, and Nursing Systems. 

Mark Batshaw

Mark Batshaw, MD, is Chief Academic Officer and Physician-in-Chief of Children's National Health System, where he also serves as director of the Children's Research Institute. He is chairman of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Mary Anne Hilliard, Esq., is VP, Safety and Patient Experience, Chief Risk Counsel. She manages Children’s National's risk management, claims, litigation, and insurance. She previously practiced law in Washington, DC, as an in-house hospital attorney specializing in professional malpractice defense and general healthcare law.

Mary Ottolini, MD, MPH, is the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine at Children's National Health System. She also serves as the Vice Chair of Education for Children's National.

Mendel Tuchman

Dr. Tuchman is Chief Research Officer, Children’s Research Institute and a Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University.

Pam King Sams

Pam King Sams

Pam King Sams is EVP, Chief Development Officer for Children’s Hospital Foundation. She is responsible for managing the $500 million “Transforming Children’s Health” campaign, which will fund Children’s National’s strategic initiatives during the next five years.

Raymond Sczudlo

Raymond Sczudlo

Raymond Sczudlo, Esq., is EVP, Chief Legal Officer. He joined Children’s National in July 2001 as vice president and chief legal officer responsible for all aspects of the organization’s legal affairs. He previously served as chairman of the Children’s Foundation Board and chairman of the Board of Safe Kids Worldwide.

Roger Packer

Roger J. Packer, MD, is Senior Vice-President, Center for Neuroscience and Behavioral Medicine, Gilbert Distinguished Professor of Neurofibromatosis, and is Director of both the Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Institute and the Brain Tumor Institute of Children’s National Health System. Dr. Packer’s present academic titles include Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at The George Washington University and Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
