Billie Short, MD, is the chief of the Division of Neonatology and the chief of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Dr. Short also is the Executive Director of the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Program (ECMO). 

In 2015, Dr. Short was honored as an inaugural Fellow in the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (FELSO). This honor recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to care, research, and innovation in the field of extracorporeal support.
