Brian Jacobs, MD, is Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer, and Chief Information Officer at Children's National Health System. In addition, Dr. Jacobs oversees the Bear Institute – the first Pediatric Health IT Institute in the nation – a partnership with Cerner.

Darryl Varnado is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer. He focuses on leading the workforce at Children’s National through leadership and talent development, and taking the institution to new heights in human resources processes.

David Wessel

David Wessel, MD, is Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Hospital and Specialty Services, and the Ikaria Distinguished Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Children's National Health System. He also is Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and of Pediatrics at the George Washington University.

Denice Cora-Bramble, MD, MBA, FAAP, is Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Ambulatory and Community Health Services. She oversees efforts focused on clinical integration across the care continuum and population strategies that strengthen the healthcare delivered to children outside the hospital setting.

Douglas Myers

Douglas Myers

Douglas Myers, MBA, CPA, is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He brings a wealth of experience to Children's National with more than 20 years as a CFO in hospitals and health systems, working with a mixture of for-profit and not-for-profit, adult, and pediatric organizations.

Elizabeth Flury

Elizabeth Flury

Elizabeth Flury, MA, is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer. She joined Children’s National in 2012 as the organization’s first Chief Strategy Officer. She leads the formulation and execution of new, innovative strategy at Children’s National designed to ensure the organization’s preparedness for healthcare reform.

Gerard Martin

Gerard Martin, MD, is the Senior Vice President of the Center for Heart, Lung, and Kidney Disease; and Medical Director for Global Services. He has been in practice at Children’s National Health System since 1986. 

Dr. Martin was promoted to Professor of Pediatrics with Tenure at George Washington University School of Medicine in 1995 and was the Chief of Cardiology from 1997 to 2009. He was named the C. Richard Beyda Professor of Cardiology in 2007.

Kathy Gorman

Kathleen E. Chavanu Gorman, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Patient Care Services. She rejoined Children's National from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) where she served as Senior VP of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, and Assistant Dean of Clinical Practice at the University School of Nursing. 

Linda Talley

Linda Talley

Linda Talley, MS, BSN, RN, NE-BC, is Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. She joined Children’s National as a staff nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She has held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President of Nursing for Critical Care, Heart Institute, and Nursing Systems. 

Mark Batshaw

Mark Batshaw, MD, is Chief Academic Officer and Physician-in-Chief of Children's National Health System, where he also serves as director of the Children's Research Institute. He is chairman of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Mary Anne Hilliard, Esq., is Vice President of Safety and Patient Experience and Chief Risk Counsel. She manages Children’s National's risk management, claims, litigation, and insurance. She previously practiced law in Washington, DC, as an in-house hospital attorney specializing in professional malpractice defense and general healthcare law.

Mary Ottolini, MD, MPH, is the Vice Chair of Education for Children's National.

Mendel Tuchman

Dr. Tuchman is Chief Research Officer at Children's National, Scientific Director of the Children's Research Institute, and a Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University.

Pam King Sams

Pam King Sams

Pam King Sams, CFRE, is the Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Children’s Hospital Foundation. She directs fundraising strategies and helps lead partnerships for Children’s National. She led the health system’s largest campaign, which raised more than $500 million. Through her work helping to develop and steward the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation, she has helped build international partnerships to improve the health of children worldwide. She has partnered with the Government of Abu Dhabi, healthcare agencies, businesses, and universities on 15 projects related to healthcare, education, human capacity, and sustainability.

Raymond Sczuldo

Raymond Sczudlo

Raymond Sczudlo, Esq., is EVP and Chief Legal Officer. He joined Children’s National in 2001 and previously served as chairman of the Board of the Children’s Hospital Foundation and chairman of the Board of the National Safe Kids, which is now known as Safe Kids Worldwide.

Roger Packer

Roger J. Packer, MD, is Senior Vice President of the Center for Neurosciences and Behavioral Medicine, the Gilbert Distinguished Professor of Neurofibromatosis, and Director of both the Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Institute and the Brain Tumor Institute of Children’s National Health System.
