The Mid-Atlantic Center for Children's Health and the Environment (MACCHE)

Children are routinely exposed to environmental toxins in where they live, work and play, i.e. in their homes, schools, work places for adolescents, and their yards, parks, playgrounds and other recreational locations. Where can residents of the Mid-Atlantic find unbiased and reliable information on environmental toxins and their effects on children? Where can parents and caregivers find answers about a known or suspected substance that they are concerned may affect their child’s health? Where can health professionals get information about known or suspected exposures to environmental health hazards?

The Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health and the Environment (MACCHE) is one of ten pediatric environmental health specialty units in the US. Based
Serving DC, MD, VA, WV, DE, PA
