To make an appointment with one of our providers, you can be referred by your child’s primary care provider or another specialist, or you can call us directly. 

Make an Appointment by Phone

Call the Bear Line at 888-884-BEAR (2327) or 202-476-BEAR (2327).

If you require an immediate outpatient appointment, call the Bear Line Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.  If your child is in immediate risk of harming him/herself or others, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Make an Appointment Online

You can request a non-emergency appointment for your child online (for all emergencies, please call 911) for specific service lines. The process allows you to request an appointment only, and a member of our team will contact you when the appointment is scheduled. Use our online tool to set up your family’s online account, request an appointment, and manage your information quickly and easily. To request an appointment in the appointment tool, use your child's medical record number, consumer web ID, or Social Security number to retrieve his or her record. The online appointment tool will let you:

  • View Appointment Details
  • Schedule or Reschedule Appointments
  • Pre-register for an appointment

For routine problems and check-ups, please call as far in advance as possible so that we may schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient for your family. If your child has chronic or ongoing medical problems or illness, please let us know so we can schedule accordingly.
