Darren Klugman, MD Cardiac Critical Care Specialist



Darren Klugman, MD, moved to Washington, DC, for medical school at George Washington University and has been at Children's National Health System ever since. He completed his pediatric residency at Children's National followed by a 5-year fellowship in both critical care and cardiology. He is a member of the divisions of critical care and cardiology and is an attending in the cardiac intensive care unit. Darren is the Director of Medical Safety for the hospital and the Director of Quality and Outcomes for Children's National Heart Institute. His clinical and research interests are focused on improving quality and safety as well as postoperative management in the cardiac intensive care unit.
