Brian Jacobs, MD Critical Care Specialist



Brian Jacobs, MD, is Vice President, Chief Medical Information Officer, and Chief Information Officer at Children's National Health System. In addition, Dr. Jacobs oversees the Bear Institute – the first Pediatric Health IT Institute in the nation – a partnership with Cerner. He is the Executive Director of the Center for Pediatric Informatics and oversees the Children’s IQ Network®, a pediatric health information exchange in the Washington, DC, metropolitan region. He plays an integral role in organizational informatics and technology in the areas of care delivery, education, and research. Dr. Jacobs enjoys skiing and sailing with his wife and four children. Dr. Jacobs also is a diplomat for the American Board of Preventive Medicine, Specialist in Clinical Informatics 2013.
