Children’s National Health System has been named to the prestigious Honor Roll of the U.S. News & World Report 2015-16 Best Children’s Hospitals, ranking among the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the nation. The Honor Roll features the “best of the best” hospitals for kids in the country. Additionally, Children’s National is the only pediatric hospital in the entire region of Maryland, DC, and Virginia to earn Honor Roll designation.

Washingtonian Magazine has named 54 Children's National Health System physicians to their list of 2015 "Top Doctors." This list is comprised of the Washington, DC region's best doctors nominated by nearly 12,000 other physicians in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

After Half-Century of Service Children's National Nurse Miss McAbee Retires

Children’s National Health System nurse Clydia McAbee, or "Miss McAbee" to her patients, recently completed her last week on the job she called home for 50 years. When Miss McAbee began her career, in 1965, she donned a white dress and nurse’s cap. While she first treated cancer patients, she spent the majority of her career at the Shaw Health Center, treating generations of families as if they were her own.
