At Children's National, more than 30 pediatric neurologists — part of the largest pediatric neuroscience team in the country — offer their vast experience to patients and families. The neurologists are in the Divisions of Neurology, Epilepsy, Neurophysiology, and Critical Care Neurology, Neuro-Oncology, and the Neurofibromatosis Institute.
The neurology division’s team includes neurologists, specially trained nurse practitioners, dedicated neurology nurses, and social workers. To offer a multidisciplinary, fully integrated approach to care, the division consults on the best treatment for your child in collaboration with physicians from the more than 40 pediatric specialties — individualized treatment for your child.

The division sees about 2,500 patients each year through our Inpatient Consult Program. Inpatient neurologic care addresses a variety of conditions that require hospitalization, including trauma, tumors, epilepsy, and inflammation (such as meningitis).
