Emergency Department

Children’s National Health System has two Emergency Departments to meet the needs of our patients. One is located at our main campus; the other is located at United Medical Center in Southeast Washington, DC.

Knowing when to take your child to the emergency department is important. For most common illnesses, your child’ primary care provider can help.
