National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research

The National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research Core (NCMRR) at the Center for Genetic Medicine Research supplies molecular/genomic technologies and bioinformatics resources to scientists doing rehabilitation research within the NCMRR network. The Core provides training, research resources, and opportunities for collaborative research. It also provides help with web database design and implementation and integration of molecular and clinical data. Services include:
  • DNA assays (SNP genotyping, mutation genotyping)
  • mRNA assays (Affymetrix microarrays; quantitative RT-PCR; bioinformatics)
  • Protein assays (protein identifications, proteomic profiling)
  • Web database design and coding involving large amount of molecular data
  • Notes on Human sample processing and IRB approvals
