Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter (FACS)
The Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter (FACS) is a state-of-the-art facility that separates and sorts cells marked with a fluorescent label. The sorter supports the work of researchers who are studying the life cycle of cells, their internal mechanisms, and the role cells play in the origins and development of cancer and other medical conditions. FACS also supports the stem cell transplantation program at Children's National.
