Nursing Research

Children’s National celebrates nursing research, quality, and evidence-based practice. Our program is developing into a nationally recognized setting for pediatric nursing and inter-professional scholarly research. Our goal is to involve nurses in research, quality, and evidence based practice in order to improve patient and family care outcomes.

Nursing Research supports a collection of more than 30 clinical studies led by nurse investigators. Studies include behavioral interventions, instrumentation testing, evaluation of nursing care procedures, and systematic assessments of child and family responses to illness threat from diagnosis to health recovery or to end of life.
