Children’s Public Relations team is committed to providing media with the most up-to-date information about Children's National Medical Center, as well as a wide range of pediatric health issues. The Public Relations staff is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm, to schedule interviews, provide background information and arrange media visits to the hospital.

After Hours
For patient condition reports after normal business hours, call 202-476-5000 and ask the operator to page the Public Relations person on call.

To ensure the privacy of our patients, a Public Relations representative must accompany media during all visits to Children’s National Medical Center’s main campus and all related sites.

 
    
 
Children's National Co-leads Nationwide Study of Landmark Sickle Cell Treatment
WASHINGTON, DC—Children’s National Medical Center immunologist and blood and marrow transplant physician Naynesh Kamani, MD, will serve as the study co-chair for a new national clinical trial of unrelated donor marrow and umbilical cord blood transplants for severe sickle cell disease.
