Fit Family Jr.

Fit Family Jr. is a nutrition, fitness, and wellness program targeted to preschool children, their parents, and preschool teachers in Kenilworth-Parkside neighborhood. The program aims to prevent overweight and obesity among African-American preschoolers by promoting a healthy diet and active lifestyle.

Fit Family Jr. has separate group sessions for teachers and parents and also has trained preschool teachers that teach fun and age-appropriate classes for children.

The program is part of the DC Promise Neighborhood Initiative.
