Continuing Nursing Education

Upcoming and past courses and lectures

Continuing education for nurses is designed to enhance nurses' professional development in practice, education, administration and research, which ultimately benefits the health of the public they serve.

Children's National Medical Center's Division of Nursing Center for Continuing Education, Department of Nursing Education and Professional Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education  by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. Nurses who successfully complete educational activities (e.g., workshops, conferences, distance learning, etc.) that meet the ANCC criteria are assigned contact hours.
