Debbie Lafond began her career at Children’s National in 1991 as a clinical coordinator of the IV therapy team, and joined the department of Hematology/Oncology a year later as an advanced practice clinician.

Dr. Greenberg is a well-known specialist in Hematology and Oncology at Children's National.
Debbie Freiburg is the Director for Medical Nursing and Patient and Family Education Program. She has been at Children's since 1978, joining the team as a staff nurse on the Hematology and Oncology unit.
The Pediatric Hematology Oncology training program is an ACGME accredited, three year training program for physicians that have completed three years of general pediatric training at an ACGME accredited institution.
