Medtech Innovators to Showcase Devices at 4th Annual Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium in Washington, DC

Washington, DC – Medtech innovators from across the country will showcase their pediatric medical devices to an audience of investors, children’s hospital executives, medical device companies and policy makers in Washington, DC on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at the fourth annual Pediatric Surgical Innovation Symposium hosted by the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System. Innovators interested in participating in the symposium and securing a booth can register here.

“This year, we are providing an opportunity for early stage companies and research labs to exhibit their pediatric device and solution in front of our symposium’s influential audience,” said Kolaleh Eskandanian, PhD, Executive Director of the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation. “By inviting Medtech innovators to attend and showcase their devices, we hope to set the stage for creating a network of companies and research labs interested in developing medical devices for children, and to foster partnerships and collaborations.”

As part of this year’s theme, “Helping Kids and the Economy Grow Stronger Through Innovation,” Brian Kenner, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development for the District of Columbia, will deliver the keynote address, touching on Washington, DC’s vision for technology and innovation. By providing infrastructure to advance the MedTech sector, local economic development groups can play an instrumental role in supporting investment, innovation, and patient access.
