Inauguration Day: Visiting Information January 17, 2013

Monday, January 21, is Inauguration Day and Children’s National expects the main campus may be affected by the increased traffic and road closures, as a result of the events in the downtown Washington, DC, area.

We ask parents to make sure your child’s care team has contact information for you, if you are traveling and may be delayed coming to the hospital because of road closures.  Please visit  or for a complete list of road closures to determine if you need to identify an alternative route to Children’s National.

Additionally, because of the projected volume of visitors to the area, some of our clinical areas, such as the Emergency Department, may experience increased patient volumes, and possible delays. Please be patient as we handle the projected additional volume.
