Biography

Elizabeth Wells, MD, graduated cum laude in cognitive neuroscience from Harvard University and completed a Master's in health Science in Clinical Research from a combined program at NIH and Duke University, prior to entering medical school at George Washington. She joined Children's National Health System's Brain Tumor Institute as an Attending in July 2011 after completing training in Pediatrics and Child Neurology at Children's National, with a special focus in pediatric neuro-oncology. Dr. Wells also is the child neurologist for the nationally recognized SCORE Concussion Clinic, working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to help athletes and other children and adolescents with neurologic problems resulting from head injury. She has been appointed as the co-Principal Investigator on multiple studies evaluating molecular determinants and treatment of neurologic sequelae from primary central lnervouse system tumors and management of these and other cancers. She has published and presented on this topic before national/international audiences. She is a member of the Neurology Committee of the Childhood Cancer Survivor Study and a member of the Child Neurology Society. Dr. Wells lives in Glover Park with her husband and son and their labradoodle.
