Biography

Angela Wratney, MD, MHSc, is a pediatric critical care intensivist at Children's National Health System. She specializes in caring for critically ill children of all ages and holds special interest in critical respiratory illness, mechanical ventilation and non-invasive respiratory support, and CPR resuscitation.

Dr. Wratney focuses her clinical research on improving the care and outcomes for infants and children with respiratory illnesses. She is identifying the risk factors for ventilator dependence and those factors in the patient, the disease process, and Children’s respiratory care of the patient to try to improve the respiratory outcomes and lead to a safer, more timely discontinuation of mechanical ventilatory support.
