A Barry Belman, MD Urologist



A. Barry Belman, MD, has practiced pediatric urology for 38 years. He came to Children’s National in 1976 from Chicago to establish the Division of Urology, stepping down after 20 years to become Chairman Emeritus. He has served as Chair on the American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Urology and President of the Society for Pediatric Urology. He has been an editor of all four editions of Clinical Pediatric Urology, the preeminent text in the field.

Dr. Belman received the Pediatric Urology Medal by the Section on Urology of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2007.
