Routine Transthorasic Echocardiography
Echocardiography is utilized to diagnose cardiac problems, as well as guide heart surgery and complex cardiac catheterizations. Children's developed one of the first digital echocardiography laboratories in the world and remains a leader in the development of new technologies to optimize patient care. Our digital echocardiography laboratory makes it seamless for physicians throughout the region, country and world to instantly send Children's cardiologists echocardiograms for review 24/7 at any location.
State-of-the-art technology, such as Echocardiogram transesophogeal, fetal, three-dimensional, intracardiac, and stress echocardiography, as well as vascular ultrasound, is readily available. The Children's echocardiography laboratory also is a leader in the development of new technology and works closely with all major echocardiography vendors to develop and test new technology.
Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Cardiac MRI is one of the fastest growing diagnostic tools in pediatric cardiology. Children's uses this technology to produce exquisite images of the inside and outside of the heart, allowing many patients to avoid more invasive procedures, and without radiation exposure.
