  Celebrating our World-Class Employees

Through blizzard conditions, Children's world-class employees
went above and beyond to provide the best patient care.

What some may consider heroic actions during the historic winter snow this season was truly considered an every day practice for Children’s employees who are accustomed to delivering excellent patient care under any circumstance. Many employees spent days at a time working at the hospital during the snow storms and even slept overnight on cots to ensure their departments were fully staffed at all times and were well rested to deliver optimal patient care. The remarkable efforts of Children’s employees during extreme weather conditions are a testament to the team’s utmost dedication and excellent team work which happens every day at Children’s National.

The leadership of our staff, who recently received Magnet nursing accreditation, and who have exemplified their commitment to caring for our patients during the blizzard, are only a few examples of what makes our employees the leaders in the pediatric healthcare field. Meet some of our exceptional physicians, nurses and staff and hear what inspires them about working here.
