|Meet Carmen Arroyo - Manager, Clinic Operations, Cardiology, Nephrology, and Pulmonary Medicine
Carmen Arroyo will celebrate her 16-year anniversary with Children’s National in October 2011. She manages clinical operations for the Cardiology, Nephrology, and Pulmonary Medicine divisions at Children’s Sheikh Zayed Campus for Advanced Children’s Medicine in Washington, DC. She regularly works with Children’s physicians to ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner, and also provides support to her clinical staff to ensure that patient care is always at its very best.
Carmen plays an instrumental role in providing quality care to our patients. As part of her daily practice, she feels it is very important that we keep our patients and staff safe. To ensure we are always practicing the safest care possible, she does walking rounds in the clinic and waiting areas on a regular basis. She feels it is important for our patient families to know that we always practice a “safety first” philosophy when it comes to taking care of their children. She and her teams also feel it is important that families partner with our medical team to provide the best care for their children.
She is proud of both the safe and quality patient care her team provides, and also the way they interact with our patients every day.
“I am happy to be a part of the Children’s National team, a place where all patients are treated with the same excellent care regardless of their background or financial status,” she says.
Carmen was able to experience the expertise and compassionate care of our medical staff first hand as a mother of a former patient.
“I had a peace of mind that my daughter’s health came first,” she says. “Because of this, I feel like I always want to give back to Children’s National.”
Throughout her career at Children’s National, Carmen’s dedication to providing a quality continuum of care at Children’s National has made a true impact on her staff and the way they provide care to our patients and families.
Carmen adds, “I love working here, and enjoy watching the amazing work everyone is doing every day to help improve the health of our patients.”
