Special Programs for New Graduates and for Nursing Students

New graduates can apply for a one year, paid  Residency Program and nursing students who have completed at least one-half of a nursing program can apply for the Child Care Technician (CCT) Program.

Nurses at Children’s National have the opportunity to attend annual conferences, continuing education classes, and professional development events that promote our culture of quality, caring, and safety. These events increase our knowledge of evidence-based practice and foster a culture of leadership, education, and research. 

Children's National’s Division of Nursing Center for Continuing Education, Department of Nursing Education and Professional Development, is an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. Nurses who successfully complete educational activities (workshops, conferences, distance learning, etc.) that meet the ANCC criteria are assigned contact hours.
