Our Graduates

Our residents are provided with the knowledge, skills, motivation, and mentorship guidance to pursue a wide variety of career choices. Approximately half of our graduates enter into subspecialty fellowships immediately after residency or one year after graduation. The most popular subspecialties are Hematology/Oncology, Cardiology, and Critical Care. The remaining residents join primary care practices, become pediatric hospitalists, work as emergency room associates, travel abroad to serve other populations in need, or pursue other careers in public health and information technology.

Information on what the graduating class of 2014 is doing now: 23 percent are in primary care (9/40), 35 percent entered into subspecialty fellowships (14/40), 30 percent pursued hospital-based careers (12/40), and 12 percent pursued other careers (5/40).
