Children’s National is committed to providing high-quality education for future pediatric providers and specialists. 

We provide a world-class education and training to pediatric residents in a nurturing environment in order to improve child health from a local, regional, national, and global perspective through clinical care, education, advocacy, and research.

Included in our residency programs are the opportunity to a focus on research, advocacy, community health, and global health, which are detailed below.

Educational Opportunities

We place the highest priority on resident education, with a multitude of conferences and educational opportunities including Grand Rounds, Night Team Teaching, and a Chief Lectures Series.

Research Opportunities

A leader in preeminent research, Children's National offers residents hands-on experience discovering new therapies that improve the quality of life and outcomes for children. 

Global Health Curriculum

The curriculum equips residents to provide compassionate care both in areas with limited resources in the United States and abroad.
