Clinical Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Autism
This position will provide focused experience in the evaluation and treatment of, and research with, children with high-functioning autism. The fellow will have the opportunity to provide developmental and neuropsychological evaluations within the context of a multi-disciplinary team (psychiatry, speech/language therapy, developmental psychology), as well as provide both individual and group treatment to children with high-functioning autism and Asperger's Disorder.
Clinical activities will also include training in ADI/ADOS, as well as the opportunity to provide school and parent consultation. The fellow will receive approximately two hours of individual supervision per week to support planning assessments, analyzing data and providing oral and written feedback. The fellow will also participate in ongoing research projects through the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, including neuroimaging and intervention studies targeting executive function and social cognition. Specialized didactics in autism in the form of weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, monthly didactic and case presentations are offered. Additional didactic experiences such as neuropsychology seminar are available. The fellow will also have the opportunity to develop teaching and supervisory skills to prepare him or her for independent practice as a pediatric psychologist within clinical and academic settings.
