Bullying prevention

CHAI supports efforts to educate parents, teachers, and students about the health risks associated with bullying through participation in the Coalition to Prevent Bullying, a multi-disciplinary coalition based in Montgomery County, Maryland that includes clinicians, educators, administrators, and community leaders who advocate against bullying in the schools.

Dr. Joseph Wright was the co-author of an AAP policy statement on bullying, published in July, 2009 that helps pediatricians actively prevent bullying and other forms of youth violence.

Dr. Jorge Srabstein, oversees the Clinic for Health Problems Related to Bullying.  Dr. Srabstein provides psychiatric treatment and evaluations for children who participate in bullying, either as the victim or the instigator.
