Mendel Tuchman, MD, is Chief Research Officer at Children's National, Vice Chairman for Research and Scientific Director of the Children's Research Institute, and a Professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington University.
Dr. Tuchman holds the Mary Elizabeth McGehee Joyce Chair in Genetics Research at Children's National. He conducts translational research in biochemistry and molecular biology of nitrogen metabolism and inborn errors of metabolism.
His work is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and he has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles.
