Health Centers

Children's Health Centers (CHC) provide primary pediatric care to our patients at six locations throughout the District. A special center for adolescent patients is located on the hospital's main campus. Children's Health Centers are part of the Diana L. and Stephen A. Goldberg Center for Community Pediatric Health.

Parking
There is plenty of convenient underground parking available at the hospital. Parking tickets are validated by the following departments: Family Services (for Social Work clients only), Parking Office (for parents without funds; one time only), and the Security Office (for parents without funds when the Parking Office is closed or parents with a letter signed by a representative of the clinic).
Eligibility
Adolescents between the ages of 12 and 21 years.

  1. Physical exams and immunizations
  2. Urgent medical care
  3. Treatment for asthma
  4. Allergy shots
  5. Nutritional support and counseling
  6. Contraception counseling and family planning
  7. Pregnancy testing and referral
  8. HIV antibody counseling and testing
  9. HIV disease treatment (Burgess Clinic)
  10. Substance abuse counseling
  11. Treatment for common adolescent issues, including eating disorders, and acne; gynecological problems, including sexually transmitted diseases.

Children from birth to 11 years of age. Children ages 12 to 21 are seen at the Adolescent Health Center located adjacent to the Children's Health Center (CHC) at CNMC.
