Volunteering at Children's

It takes only a small amount of time to make a big difference in a child’s life – the time it takes to read a story, play a game, greet a family, or color with a child. As a Children’s National Medical Center volunteer, you learn skills and meet friends while experiencing the special satisfaction that comes from seeing a child return your smile.

Who can volunteer?
There’s something for everyone at Children’s! Our volunteers include high school and college students, parents, grandparents, young adults, established professionals, and retirees.

How can I help?
Because Children’s is open around the clock, every day of the year, we always need volunteers who can offer a few hours a week on weekends, evenings or weekdays.
