Overview Our Tracks How to Apply Benefits / Contracts Resident Life

Message from Future Chief Residents

Welcome to Children’s National!

We are so excited to meet you and show you all our program has to offer!

Our residency program's strength is founded in our residents.  We offer amazing training opportunities for future pediatricians including our three unique residency tracks including categorical, community health, and primary care.  Additionally, our individualized pathways allow residents to take full advantage of elective opportunities in specialized areas, enabling you to tailor your residency experience to your interests and personal goals.  Our location in our Nation's Capital provides a wealth of health policy and child advocacy resources at your fingertips.

CNMC residents take full advantage of the fun activities available here in DC and form a close knit community.  We have a great experience outside of the hospital from our weekly happy hours to watching the Nats play baseball to enjoying picnics at the sculpture gardens on the National Mall!

As you take this next step, please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time. We look forward to meeting you all!

Regards,

Nina Niamkey, Michael Ortiz, Kristen Reese, & Heidi Schumacher
