Biography

Dr. Magge came to Children’s National Medical Center from Children’s Hospital Boston. He cares for children with all types of pediatric diseases of the nervous system, including chiari malformations, tethered spinal cords, and spina bifida. His particular focus is treating children with brain and spinal cord tumors, vascular malformations, Moyamoya disease, and craniosynostosis. He uses both traditional and endoscopic (minimally invasive) techniques to treat craniosynostosis. In addition, Dr. Magge has conducted scientific research on neural stem cells and new ways to treat brain tumors. Dr. Magge sees patients at both the Children's National Medical Center - Sheikh Zayed Campus for Advanced Children's Medicine and our office in Fairfax, Virginia.
